At the risk of teaching grandmothers to suck eggs, this page is intended to give newcomers to the site a quick guide to finding their way round or navigating.
The site is split into sections:
Home – the front page where we aim to provide access to all the basic information about the parish without having to delve into the menus.
Parish, Faith and Service – provide information about aspects of parish life and our Catholic faith.
Articles – News items with pictures, videos, sound, covering items that people may find of interest. If you want to you can submit your comment on these pieces as well as reading other people’s comments. When you submit a comments, it will not be added automatically and has to be approved or ‘moderated’ first which can cause some delay.
Email us – use to email the Parish Office, Fr Sean or the website
Rotas / Minutes – this is a restricted area of the site where documents will only be made available to people with a specific need e.g. Readers’ rotas. To access these you will need a user identity and password. When you access the page you will be asked to log in using your user id and password. To log out click on ‘logout’ which can be found – in very small text – at the bottom of any page.
Index – a single page with list of all the pages on the site.
Navigating
To find your way through these sections just hover the pointer of your mouse over the heading on the menu bar at the top of the screen. This will then show a list of the sections within the menu and if these sections have further subsections, these will appear when you hover your mouse pointer over the section. Just move your mouse pointer to the topic you want and click.
Generally, clicking on text which appears in orange will either take you to another part of this site or to a different website. Other websites will open in a new window or tab.
The menu bar also provides a search facility so if you are looking for a particular topic but are not sure where to look on the menus: you can type in the word(s) in the ‘enter keyword’ box and click on the ‘GO’ button to get a list of all the pages where the word(s) appear. By clicking on the page title – in orange of course – you will be taken to the page and if that isn’t what you want, the back button on your browser will bring you back to the list.
