Appeal from the Cardinal for Gaza and the West Bank – Thank you

Thank you to everyone who donated last weekend raising over £900 which will be sent to the Patriarchate who can make funding directly available to the parish leadership and is providing food etc. to many trapped in Gaza and in the West Bank. You can still give using the wall safe marked ‘Gaza Appeal’ or by card on the contactless payment device. Thank you again for your generosity.

Annual Mass of Our Lady of Lourdes

On Saturday 10th February at 2:30pm, Cardinal Vincent will celebrate the Annual Mass at the Cathedral, during which anointing of the sick will be offered. If you wish to attend please contact the office E: stroudgreen@rcdow.org.uk T: 020 8340 3394 giving your name, contact details and category of ticket required as we are asked to book tickets on your behalf. Ticket categories are: 1. Wheelchair users who require anointing, 2. Walking sick who require anointing, 3. Those assisting the sick, who do not require anointing.

Normal Weekday Mass times are 9am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday after Morning Prayer at 8:45am.  7pm Mass Tuesday. Note: Church is closed and there is no Mass on Thursday. If there is a Funeral Mass, there will be no 9am Mass.
Rosary: Tuesday and Friday after 9am Mass
Confession: The Sacrament of Reconciliation or Confession is available on Saturday evening from 6-6:20pm.

Mass for Religious: The diocese’s annual Mass to mark the World Day for Religious and Consecrated Life will be celebrated by the Cardinal in the Cathedral on Saturday 3rd February at 11am.
Padre Pio Group: meets after 7pm Mass this Sunday, 4th February.
Life Ascending Group: meets at 10am on Tuesday 6th February in the Parish Rooms
Thursdays Together: Every Thursday lunchtime 11:30am – 1:30pm in the hall in Stapleton Hall Road (next to St Aidan’s School). Meet your neighbours and chat over light refreshments.
Crouch End Singers Come and Sing Faure Requiem: Saturday 3rd February rehearsal 12:00-4:00, informal performance 5pm. £10 per singer. At Holy Trinity Church, Granville Road. You can book online.

First Aiders Wanted: Are you a qualified First Aider? It would be useful to know if there are any First Aiders in the parish and we would also like a First Aider to be responsible for checking our First Aid boxes regularly in case items need replenishing. If you are able to help, please contact the Parish Office or Kit Greveson (see Soup Run). Thank you.

Soup Run Wanted: Many thanks for the donations of sweetcorn. We are a bit short of tinned tuna at present. Donations can be left in the box by the church entrance. If you are able to help drive and/or distribute to the homeless in Central London, please contact Kit Greveson on 020 8340 0557, 07507 138 582 or email kit.greveson@gmail.com. We meet every Saturday at 6pm to drive/distribute for approx. 3 hours. Many thanks.

Vocations Weekend for Women: A weekend considering the call of God in our lives and finding out more about the vocation to Religious Life. Live alongside the FCJ (Faithful Companions of Jesus) Sisters, opportunity for prayer, discussion and sharing. This is a great way to explore more about religious life and meet with others who are discerning. Open to women in their 20s and 30s. Friday 16th – Sunday 18th February at FCJ Centre St Hugh’s, Liverpool. This is an in-person event for women considering the vocation to religious life. Annual Mass for Matrimony – The annual Mass for Matrimony will be celebrated in the Cathedral by the Cardinal on Saturday 25th May at 2:30pm for couples celebrating significant wedding anniversaries. Full information and invitation will be issued shortly.

Food Bank donations: As more and more people need to access food banks, we would ask anyone who is able to donate, when they can, to one of our local food banks. Contributions can be made to Holy Trinity Foodbank on Sundays between 1pm and 3:30pm. Please come to the Church Hall on Stapleton Hall Road, next to St Aidan’s School, N4 4RR, near the Albany Road junction.
