World Mission Sunday – 20th October

World Mission Sunday supports missionaries who work alongside communities that are poor or in need, regardless of their background or belief. By supporting Missio, the Pope’s charity for world mission, you will help missionaries share the love of Christ with those most in need. Please pray for the mission of the Church throughout the world and give what you can in Sunday’s retiring collection. If you are a taxpayer, please use the Gift Aid envelopes. For more information, visit Thank you.

Missio – APF Red Boxes – Please return your boxes containing your donations to the parish office this week. Please write your name and details clearly on the box so we can return them to you once emptied. Thanks

First Holy Communion 2019-20

Enrolment forms for the 2019-20 program are now available from the Sacristy after Sunday Masses, or from the Parish Office (9am-3pm, Mon-Fri). Forms must be completed and returned by Sunday 17 November. As in 2018, we will be offering classes on Saturday mornings only. We will be holding a parents’ information evening on Tuesday 26 November at 7:30pm in the church, where we will share full details of the 2019-20 program. Please email or call Lizzie Quinn (0787 286 7203) if you have initial questions.
Note: Candidates for the sacrament must be in Year 3 or above and live in the Parish or regularly attend Mass here.

Catechists for First Holy Communion – We are looking for new catechists to support our 2019-20 First Holy Communion program – previous experience isn’t needed, only an availability on Saturday mornings and an interest in engaging with parents and children! Please speak with Father Séan or contact Lizzie Quinn (0787 286 7203) if you’d like to learn more.

Confirmation 2020

Confirmation is open to Year 9 young people living within the Parish. Forms will be given to the candidate only (no friends/family can collect) and are now available from the sacristy. This year will be different from previous years and follow a similar format to the Duke of Edinburgh awards. Candidates will be involved in different projects and reflecting on the sense of belonging within a Christian community here at St. Peters’ with a mentoring structure in place. If you are interested or unsure if this group is appropriate for you, please speak to Fr Sean for more information. Forms must be returned to the Church by Monday, 24th November 2019.

Rest in Peace

We pray for Maria Graham who died during the week. Her funeral mass will be here on Wednesday 30th October at 10am. May she rest in peace.
