Prisoners’ Sunday – 13th October – ‘Exploring Hope & Freedom’

Today is the national day of prayer and action for prisoners and their dependants as marked by the Catholic Church and across the Christian denominations. It is the time to reflect on how we as individuals, as a Church and as a community are serving those affected by imprisonment. The Prison Advice and Care Trust (Pact) is a national charity that provides support to prisoners, people with convictions, and their families. There are leaflets and donation envelopes on the Newsletter stand or you can place a donation in the wall safe marked ‘Prisoners’ Sunday’. Thank you.

Weekday Masses this week will be in the Presbytery on Monday and in the Parish Rooms for the rest of the week while the floor of the church is being sanded, re-sealed and polished. The church will be closed and Friday Holy Hour will be in the Parish Rooms.
