Getting back to normal!

The times of weekday Masses, Holy Hour, Confessions, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and Benediction return to normal this week. We thank everyone who stepped in to help over the holiday period – Supply Priests, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, Soup Run Sandwich-makers/distributors, Counters and those who unlocked, locked up and provided Sacristy cover while Fr Sean was on holiday.

New term for Parish meetings
Fr Sean’s Surgery, the Life Ascending Group, Legion of Mary, SEEDs, and St Peter’s School, Stay and Play Group all resume in September.

Thursdays Together
The Lunch Club will resume as normal from 29th August at the back of Holy Trinity Church, Granville Road, N4 4EL from 11am – 1:30pm.

Parish Office

The office will be closed from Monday 26th August (Bank Holiday) and will re-open on Monday 2nd September.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

The RCIA is open to adults interested in learning about the Catholic faith with a view perhaps to becoming Catholic as well as to baptised Catholics who may not have been fully received into the Church and wish to make First Holy Communion or to be Confirmed. Please speak to Fr Sean to find out more. Details of an introductory meeting and how to apply will be announced shortly.

Soup Run

Thank you to everyone who continues to donate items via the box at the back of the church. However NO MORE TEA at the moment. We always need in the store cupboard: tins of tuna fish, corned beef, chopped ham/pork; sugar; coffee. On a weekly basis cheddar cheese; chicken roll; egg mayo; milk. Please note all foodstuffs must be within their use-by date on the Saturday we use them. Thank you.

Multicultural Day

Saturday 21st September, 1pm-4pm at Caritas St Joseph’s, St Joseph’s Grove, The Burroughs, Hendon, NW4 4TY. Further information is available here and on the notice board at the back of the church.

Priest Surgery – Fr Sean’s Surgery, when you next can see him without an appointment, is on Tuesday 3rd September from 5pm-7pm at the Presbytery.

125 years of Jesuit education – St Ignatius College will be celebrating 125 years of Jesuit education at the college on Friday 20th September 2019 with a formal celebration dinner. Tickets are priced at £75 and are available now on Eventbrite. The ticket price includes a welcome drink, 3 course meal and half a bottle of wine per person. Diocesan Youth Summit – All young people of the diocese are invited to ‘The Summit’ at Westminster Cathedral on Friday 18th October 2019, 6:30pm to 8pm, for an evening of inspiring reflections, contemporary worship music and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Cardinal Nichols and Brenden Thompson from Catholic Voices will be leading the reflections and the evening promises to be a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our faith together. Please come along and encourage your friends, families, classes, youth groups, confirmation groups and any other young people you know to join us.
