Picnic in the Park

SEEDs are planning to have a summer picnic, weather permitting, next Sunday 28th July from 2pm in the Philosopher’s garden section of Priory Park. We would very much like it to be a parish event and encourage parishioners to attend. An ideal opportunity for our First Holy Communion children & families to celebrate community together. Bring food to share.

Missionaries of Africa Appeal

The Missionaries of Africa a.k.a The White Fathers, are an international team of priests, brothers and lay associates from Africa, Britain and many countries around the world. Any ministry which has real relationship with Africa, no matter in what part of the world it may be, is considered by Missionaries of Africa to be within the scope of the apostolate. Through parish work, building up small Christian communities, working with media, involvement in Justice and Peace, agriculture, seminary training, education and social welfare the Missionaries of Africa aim to work in partnership with the Church in Africa…and above all else to help build up the leadership of the Churches. Fr Augustin Sawadogo will be making an appeal on behalf of The White Father’s at all Masses next weekend, 27th and 28th July, and there will be a retiring Collection to support the White Father’s Appeal.
