Hope Together

Recent news reports have highlighted the increase in violence affecting young people across London. Are you wondering how you can respond? Is there a way that together we can make a difference? Courtyard, part of the Catholic charity Million Minutes, presents ‘Hope Together’. These gatherings offer an opportunity to explore the issues and discuss our potential response in supporting our local young people. There are two opportunities to attend: Monday 16th July 7-9pm, St Mellitus, Finsbury Park, N4 3AG or Saturday 28th July 2-4pm, our Lady of Mount Carmel & St George, Enfield, EN2 6DS. For more information and to register online search ‘million minutes eventbrite’

Parish Census

Even if you have completed one in the past, we are asking every parish household to fill in a registration form so that we can make sure our parish database contains up to date information. Our thanks go to all the people who completed a registration form last weekend and we would ask everyone who has not done so already to fill one in and return it after Mass today. Forms and pens are available on each bench. Thank you.

Soup Run

Holiday relief – If you are able to help during the late July/August holiday period to make sandwiches, drive and/or distribute to the homeless in Central London, please contact Kit Greveson on 020 8340 0557 / 07507 138 582 or email Kit at We meet every Saturday at 4pm to make sandwiches for approx. 2 hours and at 6pm to drive/distribute, again for approx. 2 hours. Please just turn up to make sandwiches if you are free. Many thanks.

We are also running low on tuna fish and sweetcorn. If you are able to buy a tin (or a stack of 4), it will be greatly appreciated. Please leave in box at back of church. NB: we do not need any tea at present but coffee, sugar, cheese, tinned corned beef/chopped ham are always well received. Thank you.

Altar Servers

During the school holiday period we will still need servers at Sunday Masses so please come to the sacristy whenever you are present. It would be helpful if parents would take home an alb to be washed and returned during the holidays.
