Crib Appeal 2017

The Crib will be available to visit until Monday, 8th January, the Baptism of the Lord, and you are asked please to continue to give generously to the Catholic Children’s Society. Your support makes a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable children and adults in our Diocese. The Society reaches out to families who are homeless or where there is poverty, debt, unemployment, long-term illness or family breakdown.

Peace Sunday – 14th January

The theme for Peace Sunday 2018 is Migrants and Refugees – seekers of peace. Every year Pax Christi promotes the Holy Father’s World Peace Day Message on the 2nd Sunday in Ordinary Time. The theme reflects the relationship between migrants, refugees and peacemaking. The work of Pax Christi is based on the Gospel and inspired by faith and has a vision of a world where people can live in peace without fear of violence in all its forms. If you would like to contribute to the work of Pax Christi, donation envelopes are available on the Newsletter stand.
