A parish pilgrimage has been organised through PAX Travel to Poland for 31st May – 6th June 2018. There are some posters at the back of the church and in the Porch with all the necessary information. We will be based in Krakow with trips organised each day to different places of interest. The cost of the trip is £799.00 for a twin bedded room. If you require a single room, there is a supplement of £168 for the six nights (limited availability). If you are interested in joining us, please contact Sheila Doyle on telephone No. 020 8340 4511 to reserve a place. A deposit of £200 plus £33 insurance (if needed) is required, the remaining balance is due about ten weeks before departure. Cheques made payable to St Peter-in-Chains Church. We have reserved 30 places for the pilgrimage. Bookings need to be made by the end of July to guarantee that price.

Parish Finance Committee – Our accounts for the first quarter of the year show a slight drop in regular Sunday income compared with a year ago. The main expenditure in recent months has been on professional fees and services related to the porch and parish room projects amounting to £34,597 to date. The building works are out to tender and, of 4 companies approached, we expect to receive costs from 2. Fr Sean has approached the diocese about funding and fund-raising for the project and is awaiting responses. The issues raised in the recent annual Health and Safety inspections are being assessed. Those not addressed through the building works will be prioritised for suitable action.

Paper £5 notes – can no longer be used after Friday 5th May. We therefore ask everyone not to use the old notes from this date in the collection, wall safes or to pay for votive candles. Please do not offer them for Parish Draw tickets, Mass stipends or any other payments. Thank you.
